Here is tale ...for players who like the evequest word...

Long ago there was a guild of pirates that had located their headquarters in Cape Dreg, on one of the many scattered islands. These were the Indigo Pirates. They lived peacefully on their little island in Cape Dreg, making due with their usual pirate ways. Stealing from adventurers, terrorizing the other islands, even killing as many creatures as physically possible to sell pieces and parts they collected for tunar.

Then one day, Admiral Mullett, the pirate captain, gained some information about one of the islands in the area. There was a cave on that island that was believed to have contained an enormous amount of treasure buried way down in its depths. So, Admiral Mullett commanded his legion of pirates to go invade the island and bring back whatever they could find of the treasure. So, off they went, with a loaded ship of supplies and men to acquire this famed treasure.

Countless hours of searching went by, but with no luck finding the island. Out of nowhere, a storm appeared, throwing the ship into chaos and tossing it whichever way it pleased. The pirates had no control of the ship due to the intensity of the winds. During this storm the ship was severely damaged, losing its masts, and was no longer able to sail anywhere except where the wind took it.

The next morning they felt a huge jolt and scraping along the bottom of the ship. They had sailed into the shallow waters of one of the islands, and crashed ashore, now stranded. After exploring the island, the Pirates discovered a mysterious cave. They all thought to themselves, "Could this really be the island the Admiral was talking about?" They ventured inside cautiously. They noticed the cave had been developed, with rooms, walls, and bridges. Someone must have done this. Slowly as they crept through this cave-like dungeon, they heard a noise. Suddenly a part of the floor collapsed, causing many men to fall through to the level below. The other pirates became shrouded with fear and confusion.

The pirates were shaken up from the fall, but they decided to explore this room they had fallen in to. The room was empty... or so it seemed. They heard a voice come from somewhere in the room, they did not know who it was, or where they were. And out of an indentation in the wall, this legendary deity came charging. It was Syndar of the Indigo. Syndar started going on a rampage, catching all of the pirates by surprise, killing them one by one, until there was no life in the room except his own. The other group of pirates heard the battle below, and the screams of their fellow pirates, and ran back outside to their destroyed ship, as quickly as they could. They knew they could not go back inside without the help of many other men, which they could not gather, since their ship had been badly beaten by the storm.

The remaining pirates developed their own small camp out of the debris that had washed ashore from their ship, waiting and hoping for others to pass by to help them destroy this beast. As for the men killed by Syndar, they remain in the dungeon to this today, brought back to life from a powerful necromancer to be Syndar's personal undead servants. The other pirates knew they could not go inside again, or they would endure... the same fate.
